Alright, you had decided to join the blogosphere and blog about something that you are passionate about. By this time your blog is up on the internet running, your next task is to have people to read it. If you want your blog to have any chance to become successful, there are 4 elements that you must possess to ensure that you are on the right track. You need to make your blog as interesting as you can. You simply can’t attract too many people if your blog is boring. Follow the 4 elements below for a successful blog
1. Be truthful
Your blog reflects your personality and who you are. Write the post as what you think. Be truthful to yourself and inside the post. The posts reflects your unique voice and this is what make your blog special and different from others. Try to make your posts as interesting as possible and if you can’t, so be it. You don’t have to purposely imitate anyone and that will surely make things difficult for yourself.
2. Correspondence with your readers
In order to grow a big community around your blog, you need to participate in responding to comments leave in your posts. This shows that you value their opinions and there is a 2-way conversation between you and your readers. The strength of your blog depends on the community that evolves around it so make sure that you answer any questions or feedbacks that your readers have for you.
3. Add Value to your readers
Your readers come to your blog to find something that maybe helpful to them, if you are able to solve their problems and this means you are adding values to their lives. They are more willing to revisit again if they know who to turn to whenever they have any doubts or problems. Try to speak in a way with your own opinion and unique voice.
4. Make yourself avaliable
You don’t want to publish your blog and put up a few post and you disappear for weeks or even months. You have to update your blog frequently in order to keep it alive. Readers come back to you for valuable information. If they can’t get it from you, then high chance that they will look for it elsewhere and never come back again. Try to update your blog few times per week when your blog is new. After your blog has gained decent traffic, develop your post frequency to your own comfort.
