I can’t believe i have gone so far with this blog. This traffic report turns out to be my 100th post. Each month i will be sharing how many visitors this blog has attracted. Though my main aim is to introduce complete transparency in this blog, most important of all, you can use my traffic stats as a guide.
I am not asking you to compare your blog against mine. My traffic stats is not enormous. If you are doing better than me, great, keep on doing what you have been doing. If your stats is lesser than mine, don’t be dis-hearted as i am not a guru. Whatever i can do, i am sure you can too.
All my traffic is based on blog commenting, referrals, links and search engines. The way i am growing this blog is pretty slow but i am fine with it. This is a place where i hope you will obtain some blogging tips which are helpful to you and a medium for me to interact with other bloggers. Nothing more, nothing less.
If you want higher traffic, you have to work harder than me. I highly recommended you to visit blogs of people like Viperchill, ThinkTraffic and SmartPassiveIncome who are very good examples of how to generate a high traffic blogs.
February is a short month, thus i only published nine post in total. Though the number of post is lesser but i am still seeing a slight increase on the visitors. The reason is down to two post i posted:
Comment Or Retweet – Which Do You Prefer?
I never expect this post to attract lots of attention among my fellow bloggers. It turned out to be one of my most commented post. The idea of writing this post was unintentional. One day i was too tied up and focus on retweeting post instead of commenting in it. I was quite curious to see what the other bloggers prefer. Thus, this post came live on 6th February.
It is pleasing to realize that i am getting some visitors from search engines as this post is on page 1 of Google for keywords like:
- Retweet with comment
- How to retweet with comment
- Retweet with a comment
I never have expected that. One of the downside when you have visitors from search engine is the bounce rate. I am seeing a significant increase in my bounce rate.
50 Great Blogs That You Should Read and Subscribe
Who doesn’t like list post? In the middle of February, i shared with you which are the blogs i follow and read. Some of my fellow bloggers who is on that list helped to spread the word far and wide. Using social media like Twitter, Facebook to share with their readers. I also have Ingrid and Brankica to thank for who helped to link the post in their weekly roundup. Thanks gals.
Traffic Stats
So here comes the traffic stats. This is how it looks like in my Google analytics.
Lets see the comparison to January:
Monthly Visits: 1,316 down from 1,400 (Jan)
Pageviews: 2,783 up from 3,366 (Jan)
Bounce Rate: 59.57% up from 52.00% (Jan)
Absolutely Unique Visitors: 629 up from 554 (Jan)
Alexa Ranking: 127,829 down from 123,749 (Jan)
Subscribers: Currently 38
I am always happy to see this blog making some progress even if the increase is minimal. What is the common amount of visitors for a blog? Nobody will know. The most important thing is to keep your passion alive and be very persistent in what you do. That’s precisely what i am doing now. Regardless of how small your traffic is, just keep going. Remember you have me to accompany you.

LaenderUses.com has been my biggest referrals in February. Thanks Pat. I also start to see traffic coming from Bizsugar, one of the blog bookmarking sites i have joined. The others are Blokube and BlogInteract(Introduced to me by Kiesha, thanks Kiesha). Honestly you should join these blog bookmarking sites to get your content out there. It may not bring you tons of traffic but it’s a good place to know other similar bloggers and network with them.
This coming weekend will be a blog hopping day for me. Brankica introduced us 140 blogs for us to hop around and i will be using the weekend time to network with some new faces whom i never meet before. Sure it will be a great experience. Meanwhile have fun and a great weekend ahead.

Everything is perfect specially bounce rate. Can you suggest me how to reduce my site bounce rate? It is 77% and i am little curious about that.

Does your traffic comes mostly from search engines? You blog design is great and i can’t really tell why your bounce rate is high. Most important thing is to give what your readers is interested to read and they will stay longer.
