Every day or every minute in the internet you’ll be aware that there is a new way of making money online. The latest success of that is making use of Social Media such as Twitter. Prior to that, there are several methods such as blogging, ebay etc.
One of the most common way to make money is to launch your own products such as ebooks, coaching course or membership sites. No matter which route that you take, one of the main challenges is to look for people who will be interested in your products or services and willing to part with their hard-earned money to buy them. If they are happy with their purchases, trust will be build between you and your customers. Next is to repeatedly offer them quality products which will make them keep on buying since they already trusted you.
How do you actually find customers? I am pretty sure that you have heard of this term “the money is in the list”. That’s the reason why bloggers like to collect leads in their email. Email address will be collected as you offer a ebook or a free report for downloading in your blog.
In order to be successful online, you need to establish trust between your subscribers and you. They are much more willing to purchase if they know that they can trust your recommendation or products that you launch. This is the reason why “the money is in the list”.
There are a few ways to collect list. One of them is adswapping. It is a very powerful and easiest way of collecting leads. Just by looking at the term “adswaps” doesn’t mean that you are swapping ads with the other blogger. So what exactly is “adswapping”?
Adswapping is you finding another blogger that has the similar niche as yours and both of you will swap the email list. To swap doesn’t mean that both of you are passing the contacts to each other. Instead, you will help to send out a email on behalf of the other blogger to your own email list while expecting the other blogger to do the same.
Let me quote you an example, A blogger blogs about the techniques of how to flatten your stomach while B blogger blogs about the equipment that you can use to flatten the stomach. There is a tendency that people who are interested in buying the equipment will want to know more about the techniques and vice versa.
In this case, A blogger will help B blogger to send out an email regarding the equipments that he blog to his email lists while B blogger will help A blogger to send out an email regarding the techniques to have a flatten stomach to his email lists.
It will be better if both of you has the same equal amount of subscribers. You put together a series of emails and auto-responder to your email list recommending the products of your niche as well as the products of your partners niche. By then your subscribers have free access to the newsletter of both of you and it will be a win win situation for everyone.
Adswap is one effective way of building a targeted list of subscribers fast as well as driving traffic to where you want it. There are several reasons that why adswaps is one popular way to build a email list.
1) There is no affiliate commission involves since the promotion of products will be among two bloggers.
2) You can reach a very wide audience if you have large equal leads among two bloggers.
3) The advertising is free. You don’t have to spend any money on banners as it’s mainly adswapping between two bloggers.
Although adswapping is effective in building a large email between two bloggers but there are some don’ts too if you intend to do adswapping.
1) Always approach another blogger with a similar niche or something related to your niche. You wouldn’t want to adswap with somebody whose blog has nothing related to your niche.
2) Do not adswaps with too many bloggers at the same time. Your subscribers will get frustrated if you keep on sending large amounts of offers and products at one time. Your original subscribers is most important to you and you wouldn’t want to lose them in this way.
3) Ensure you scan through the email offers from the other blogger that you intend to adswap with. Make sure that the offers that you send out is of something valuable to your subscribers and not some junk.
Adswapping is definitely something that you need to try it out on if you want to have a powerful way of building a large email list fast. It’s advisable though not to blindly enter any adswaps offered in front of you. Before that you need to check about the products or services that the other party is offering and make the decision after that.

Hi Michael,
Thanks. I will wait for your report.
This is really cool Lye,
Great, Great, Great post!
You’ve analyzed the main concept of adswaps.
Another tip is to make sure your list reaches 500 subscribers before doing an adswap, I once did an Adswap when my list was 300 but I got almost no result!
