We have to admit our initial motivation of starting a blog is to earn money. Blogging is an extremely difficult way to earn an income. No serious blogger will tell you that earning money through blogging is easy. If you ever find it easy to earn money through blogging, please let us know.
Blogging can be a passion, doesn’t have to do with money every time. However, if you are serious in using blogging to support your living, it can be a long and tedious journey. There are hundred over millions of blog and you have to compete with them for traffic and money. Only the toughest will survive. It could take you months if you are lucky and knowledgable enough or it could take you years to earn a penny.
While you are blogging on your way to success, here are 8 other ways you can consider to earn some extra income.
1. Find a Part Time Job
If you have some spare time, why not look for a part-time job? You can make used of weekends or your evening time to earn some extra income. Part time jobs are usually paid by hourly rate. If you are willing to commit more time, the amount of money you can earn is quite reasonable.
2. Sell Unwanted Stuff
Do you have stuff that you don’t need? Books, clothes, furniture, wearing accessories, old mobile phones, printers, CD etc which are in good condition. The list can be long. You can think of anything that you have. Auction them on ebay or sell to people who collect second hand things.
3. Rent Out Your Spare Room
Do you have a spare room in your house? You can consider renting your spare room for some extra cash. If your location has good transport facilities and amenities, high possibility you will be able to obtain a good rent.
4. Participate in Online Survey
There are companies and organisation who give out incentive to people who help them to fill out surveys. The incentives can be cash or even vouchers. It probably won’t earn you much and take sustainable amount of your time but it still helps in bringing some extra cash.
5. Sell Your Skills
Do you have some special skills? Sell it. You can create a gig in Fiverr for people to find you. This is a good place to showcase your skills. Anything you can think of, there maybe people who needs you.
6. Get Paid to Baby-Sit
This is a great option for stay at home moms. Depends on where you are, it could be a useful source to earn a huge income by babysitting toddlers on weekdays.
7. Sell Stuffs Out of Your Hobbies
Do you like arts and crafts or are you good in cooking? Well, make them and sell them. Sell it at a bazaar or even online. If your stuff is popular, the opportunities are endless.
8. Earn Money Through Your Problem Solving Skills
Some companies are offering cash rewards to people who can help to solve their problems. Are you good at problem solving? Then this is one way you can considering to earn some extra income. You can register and become a solver.

I’ve read through all of your ideas of making extra income, and I must admit I didn’t know so far for problem solving sites.
I will make sure to check the Innocentive, as it sounds quite interesting. So far, I have been doing part time jobs for getting extra money, as well as selling things online. But, I must share with you that online surveys never pay out-I honestly do not know any person making money from it (well, ok, if it did happen, we are talking about not more than 10 dollars in three months, and that couldn’t be considered an extra income). I try to stay away from surveys-been there, done that…and no results.
Oh, and answering your question if there are any ideas to recommend for extra income…hmmm…how about investing money in stocks? Of course, this is a tricky issue and might need a help of a pro.

Online survey surely needs a lot of time and sometimes it is not worth it. I definitely understand your point. It won’t make a lot of money but probably little extra income.
Investing in stock is one way but i doubt it is a good way. It is not extra income, it needs money to do investments.
