It’s time to look back at how many visitors this blog has attracted in November. This post is going to talk about our monthly traffic stats gathered last month. In my previous updates in October, i had mentioned that i am not going to set any targets for November. Is there any changes in the traffic? Lets take a look at this screenshot.
Stats compared to October:
Monthly Visits: 1,114 up from 1020 (Oct)
Pageviews: 3,052 up from 2,750 (Oct)
Bounce Rate: 48.03% down from 46.76% (Oct)
Absolutely Unique Visitors: 359 up from 307 (Oct)
Alexa Ranking: 105,372 up from 124,337 (Sep)
Subscribers: 25 up from 24 (Oct)
We saw a slight increase in visitors and pageviews. I believe the reason is due to the “Inspirational Bloggers Tips” that i published over the month. A compilation of various tips and strategy from different bloggers is extremely popular with our readers. The fact that all bloggers involved are retweeting the post has helped this blog to gain more exposure and more visitors. In case you may be wondering, i have not stop publishing this. I decided to change the “Inspirational Bloggers Tips” to bi-weekly, asking a question related to blogging to all inspirational bloggers once in two weeks. My fellow bloggers are very supportive regarding this but i know they are busy with their own projects. That’s why i would love them to have some allowance of time for answering my email.
The other reason is i saw a decrease in my posting as i am concentrating on this project. I like to publish more post of my own while maintaining this project. Thu has given me an idea to consolidate all “Inspirational Bloggers Tips” and compile them into an ebook. This is a great idea. I intend to do that. First of all, i need the support of my fellow blog mates. On the other hand, i need you my readers to email me if there is any blogging related question that you like to know. Just head on to the contact page and email me the questions you would like to ask or know more about it.
Changes made to the blog:
There are some changes made to my blog last week. I had a new logo made for this blog and the layout had also been changed from three column to a two column layout. It looks more focus and cleaner with the widgets greatly reduced. The categories description is reduced to a more organize manner. Hopefully you like the changes made. I welcome any feedback from you and make changes accordingly within my technical means.
Small target in December:
After reading Steve Scott‘s Get More Traffic Blueprint, i hope to be more involved in blog commenting in December. If one want to get more traffic, one of the basic requirement is to comment on 20 blogs. I don’t think i have reach that target. So I will definitely aim for that this month.
Special thanks to Dan Stevens:
I would like to specially thank Dan Stevens for going all out to identify an earlier guest post approved by me, pointing out the mistake and guest post about it. Much appreciated Dan.
Some guest posting lesson learn:
- Always check your guest post writer have a decent website or blog.
- If in doubt, don’t be afraid to say no.
- Admit your mistake if you have made one.
- Make sure they adhere to your guest post guidelines.
- Finally, seek for advice from an expert if you are unsure about the topic.
Before i end the post, i like to thank everyone, my fellow bloggers and readers who have been supportive to me and Findmyblogway all this while.
THANK YOU.
As always, i welcome any feedback or comments and will be looking forward to hear from you.

Thanks for being honest and transparent about this. I am curious about the bounce rate. Does this number concern you? Do you think this is high? Desirable? If so, then what do you think of doing to make it a better number?
Twitter: Findmyblogway
Hi Travis,
I think this bounce rate is normal and it doesn’t concern me too much. Most important thing is to publish quality content that people want to read and try to make this blog as sticky as possible.
Thanks for the comments.
Lye
I agree with you.
From what I have learned, 40-70% is normal for blogs. Your bounce rate is 48% which means that you capture interest of more than half the visitors, which is a good thing.
Good luck with your goals, I hope you achieve and exceed them.

Hi Lye,
I like all of the changes here. Wonderful new layout
As you note it’s more clean and I feel more focused.
I can see why the Inspirational Blogger’s Tips series is so popular. Picking the brain of experienced bloggers creates a valuable experience for both veteran and newbie bloggers alike. Leaders are learners, and learners become leaders.
Sorry I missed your last invitation for the IBT series, I will be happy to contribute should you offer again. I too am condensing a series of posts in ebooks and have a few other projects brewing as well.
Thanks for sharing Lye and have a powerful day!

Hi Adam,
I am absolutely fine showing my stats. Not all bloggers is comfortable with that as they worry this will affect the readership if traffic is too low.
That’s a small target and hopefully i will see an increase on the numbers of visitors.
Thanks for commenting.

Lye,
First of all, nice logo man. I am wanting to change the logo of my site as well but still unsure on what to choose.
I really like your 2 column layout, looks more professional. Sorry I missed out on the opportunity to participate in the last Inspirational bloggers series due to time constraint.
Anyways, your stats are looking good brother and really appreciate you being honest about it.
Later on my friend!

Hi Adam,
I am quite please with the logo too. It’s not done by me. I just got it done in Fiverr.
The previous layout is too cluttered, tends to stuff a lot of unnecessary things. Do not worry brother, i understand as we are hands full sometimes. That’s why i decide to publish IBT series once in two weeks, allowing ample time to respond.
Thanks for dropping by. Talk soon.

Cool traffic report Lye. I love the way you re-designed your blog, it looks smooth and clean. I also want to engage myself in blog commenting, i guess commenting on 20 blogs a day is cool. Thanks for sharing. Have fun.

Hi Samuel,
Thanks brother, glad you like it. Commenting on 20 blogs a day should be a pretty cool way to gain more traffic. All the best to you.
Thanks for the comments.

I always like traffic reports. I love reading them, maybe one day I will start doing them too. LOL.
Anyway the important thing is that the numbers are always good. Add in commenting and you should grow even more. 20 a day is a tough goal, if you miss it no biggie…it is a goal, not a fast and hard “have to make” ideal.
As for the Bounce Rate numbers, I hear something once that made a lot of sense.
Getting much below 30-35% BR is about impossible; because that is about the percentage that are pure spammers. 35-50% is normal range. At 50-60% you should begin to be concerned and investigate why people are bouncing. From 60-70% you should really be concernd and see what tweeks you can do and above 70% there almost HAS to be a major problem.
I have no idea if that is a good rule of thumb or not, but it makes sense thinking that 35% BR or so is based on spammers.

Hi Steve,
That would be great, looking forward to see that. Sure it is good stuff.
It’s a small target on commenting. You are absolutely right. if i can’t comment on 20 blogs, it’s fine for me. It is worthless to comment just for the sake of commenting. it must be something i wanted to add on.
Thanks for the explanation of the bounce rate. I think i am still safe but will try to bring it down.
Lye
Traffic reports are quite awesome i really like to take a look over them and to learn who and why the traffic is so much higher then in my own blog. By implementing some of the technics from other Bloggers i think i could raise my own traffic!

Hi Sebastian,
Thanks for the comments. I believe valuable content and promotion of your blog are the most important things for you to have a higher traffic. I wish you good luck with your blog.
Lye
First of all, congratulations with the new awesome layout.
I have been doing some research on traffic lately, and 2 weeks ago I started a new blog in norwegian for a case study. think having 100 dedicated readers that participate and comment is a lot more valuable than many of the blogs bragging about 5000 daily readers but no feedback from anyone.
We have norwegian blogs with over 100 000 visitirs a week, but when they ask the readers a question they get below 10 answers. Thinking about business, these readers are worth absolutely nothing.
About your blog, you always have great content and give valueable information. Readers will always return to a blog like yours Lye

Hi Knut,
Nice to see you again. Thank you so much for the kind words. It’s definitely better to 100 loyal visitors rather than 1000 bouncing visitors.I always value comments from my visitors as they are the ones who keep me going.
Thanks for the comments.
