What Are The Things to Consider Before You Click On That “Purchase” Button

Purchase

One of the great traits you should have to become a successful blogger is to keep learning. Learning on new things and new knowledge is essential especially if you are thinking of setting up an online business. The internet keeps on changing and we need to keep up with it. There is immense amount of knowledge that we can gain from the computers nowadays.

The internet is full of information that we can access for free. Of course, some premium products and courses are capable to provide you the information or knowledge you need. There is no way you can get it without paying a single penny. While you bent on making it big online, there will be chances you need to make some investments on some products such as ebooks and courses. At certain point of time, you may come across certain products that may assist you to become a better blogger.

Things You Need to Consider Before Buying

Let’s say you are recommended by some bloggers on a particular product, the review on the products is excellent. Just as you fill up all your information and the only step left is the “Purchase” button, have you done some considerations on whether is it worth to purchase the products. Needless to say, you need to make sure you have made the right decision to part with your hard earn money. There are several considerations you need to consider just before you click that “Purchase” button. What are they?

  • Is the product useful

A straightforward and truthful answer, you need to understand the products well enough. Do not buy because of peoples’ recommendation or  the product is cheap. You understand the product is useful to you and it will actually help your online business. For example, you may like to purchase some premium themes, plugins, ebooks and courses that are useful to you during your blogging route.

  • Does the price justify the product value

The product may be useful to you, the next question will be does the price justify the product value. Is the price set on the high side? You may able to find an equivalent product for a lower price. You need to do some research on the product to check whether you are willing to pay for the price that comes with it.

  • Check on product review

It’s common to find somebody writing reviews on various products in the blogsphere. They are the people who actually use the products before and in a good position to make some recommendations. Make sure you read up some reviews on the product you are interested to purchase. This make it easier for you to understand the products and whether it suits your use.

  • Make sure you implement and take action

I would say this is the most important factor that you need to consider. A product like ebooks and courses teaches you steps or procedure you need to follow to achieve the desirable results. If you are not focus in implementing what you have learnt, do not make any purchase hastily. You will end up blaming the products or even putting blame on the author and ask for a refund. The problem may be your own.

Wrap Up

Making investments is inevitable for a blogger. We just need to make sure we have made a good one and the products we purchase will help us to build our online business.

    Hi Lye,

Thank goodness, I haven’t made many rash product purchases. Usually I know what I need, do the research and move forward with the purchase. Your point about implementing and taking action is on point; the product won’t change your life, YOU will change your life by using the product.

    Thanks for sharing!

      Hi Ryan,

I love this one “YOU will change your life by using the product”. That’s right. How good the product is depends on how you fully utilize its usage.

      Thanks for the awesome comments.

Great insights here. I really stress on reading a review before buying the products. Not just any review however…Review from the sources that you really trust. I am glad you mentioned about implementing and taking action. Right on brother..This is without a doubt the most important factor one needs to consider.

Thanks for the awesome share Lye..

      Hi Adam,

I agree with you. There maybe plenty of reviews writing on the same product. We need to choose the ones that we trust. Some people failed even with a good product in hand is due to failure of taking action. It’s really the most important factor to consider.

Thanks for dropping by and commenting. Have a great day too.

    Hi Lye

When we start any new project we are enthusiastic and keen to give our best shot and make it a success. Sometimes we let that same enthusiasm run away with us and makes purchases without giving the matter much thought and end up with a dud. I think the advice you have given here is invaluable and one which every blogger, new or established, should ignore at their peril.

Thanks for another killer post bro.

    Talk soon,

    Michael

Hey Lye! Happy Sunday To You!

Ok. Talking about buying products, I can say I’m quite careful about doing it. 1 thing I will ask, is what you say, “Does the Price Justify Its Value?” . Yeap.

We can almost get everything you want to know about the Internet for free. I hate to say this, but there are some internet marketers, trying to sell cheap, regurgitated information, which people are giving free, for a high price. It’s really important to go evaluate if there’s value in the product.

Another point I like what you said, is the point about taking action on the product you have bought. Haha! it’s really true that many people bought online products, but Sit on it, and not doing anything. Then, another product comes about, they go buy it, and Sit on it again, not doing anything. In the end, they end up with a lot of products, then claim make money online is impossible. :)

So Lye, you made a very strong point on taking action and implementing it :)

      Hi Ding Neng,

The weather is terribly hot now. Hope you have a great day.

You have a valid point. That’s why we need to be extra careful when doing purchase online. There are people who bought a lot of products and never implement what they have been taught. That’s why they never make it.

Thanks for sharing your view. Great point.

    Hi Lye
When I first started out I bought tons of stuff that had been recommended. I was too trusting as all the big guys were recommending each other’s products whatever. I would then get refund from Clickbank and feel discouraged. Now I am blogging and found a good community to be part of; I would trust those experienced bloggers and some have actually warned not to buy some products that they have road tested. I am now very careful what I buy. Mostly I am getting excellent information for free. When I do buy I will know the person well and already have obtained quality info so will feel confident I will get more quality when I buy.

      Hi Patricia,

Sometimes we just have to learn through the hard way. There are just too many information available and you won’t know who to trust unless you know them personally. Glad you have learn how to differentiate which are the products you need.

Thanks for visiting and sharing of your own experience.

    Hi Lye,
I guess I’m a pretty good shopper. I tend to follow all the rules you recommend. I generally like to sleep on a purchase to think about whether I really need it, or whether it’s just a pure luxury item. So, far, I feel lucky in that I haven’t spent a ton of money on unnecessary products.

    Hi Lye,

Whenever there are product launches, I’m always cautious about buying them. Sometimes when the big gurus launch a new product with so much hype, I’m usually very cautious about going head in and buy them. Like you said, I check for reviews, look for comments on forums. Some websites are not so good for reviews as I know a lot of them are promoting the product without mentioning the negative side of the product.

Also if I don’t have the time to use those products or if I prefer sticking to one product I will generally hold off taking out my wallet and save my cash for other things.

    Cheers!

      Hi Bryan,

You are right. Sometimes you will see everyone is promoting the same product at the same time. You need to be very familiar with the blogger to know the fact he only recommends because he think the product is helpful.

Thanks for visiting and commenting. Talk soon.
