Creating a brand awareness is essential if you are building a business. It can be online or offline but you need to brand your business if you want to progress far. There are millions of blogs running in the internet. How do you actually differentiate your blog from millions of them competing with you in the blogosphere? The answer is “Branding”. Be it a logo, slogan, name or sign. These are the things that associate with you when you need to brand your blog.
There is a lot of tutorials online teaching you how to brand your blog. Just read up this post from my great friend Onibalusi on how to build a brand for your blog . Today i want to share with you why branding is important to your blog. Without a brand, it’s difficult for your online business to take off. Without a brand, there is no reason why people need to believe in you. Branding is extremely important to your blog! Yes that’s true. Most of the bloggers understand that and that’s why there are so obsessed in creating a brand for their blog. Here is the reason why.
1. Stand out from the rest
There maybe millions of competitor out there but your brand will help you to stand out from the rest. Create a nice logo or a memorable slogan will help you to be remember easily by your readers. It develops a consistent image for your blog with what you have to say.
2. Create trust for you
Branding will create trust between you and your readers. Once there is trust, your readers will find it easier to remember what you have to offer. By having trust, relationship is build strongly and your visitors will become your most loyal readers.
3. Identify your vision and targets
Branding let you identify your vision and targets you have set for your blog. It shows you are serious to create a successful online business which bring added values to others.
4. Earn recognition
You can earn recognition by having a brand. Your visitors will feel for you and recognize your brand if you are able to build trust and credibility.
5. Create a identity for you
If you are successful in creating a brand, it will also create a identity for you. The brand will follow you everywhere in the internet. There is trust immediately if you are starting a new project online.
6. Readers feelings
Lets say there is two blogs. One without a brand and one with a brand. Who do you think the readers will trust? People tend to trust the blog with a brand as it is identifiable and has an identity. It’s a common feel among most people.
There is indeed a need to create a brand for your blog. Your blog identity needs time to mature but you have to start giving your blog a brand now. These are 10 ways to brand your blog or website efficiently that you can consider following . Start taking action and stand out above the rest.

I believe that branding is important. Not that I am good at it but it will definitely help you to grow your business, online as well as offline. Ultimately it’s about creating trust between your readers and you (as you’ve said). And I couldn’t agree more.
Especially on blogs that are related to making money online you need to be careful what you are promoting. There are many people out there who simply promote a product yet they have never read it or used it.
